In the OuderApp (and Parent Portal), it is also possible to indicate that you want to adjust an existing childcare contract. You can adjust the contract by stopping or extending one or more days. This way, you no longer need to contact your childcare provider by e-mail or telephone and it saves organisations extra administrative work.
The changes you make to the childcare contract are never final immediately. Changes are always submitted to and assessed by the childcare organisation first. Based on this assessment, the request is approved, rejected or it may be decided to contact the childcare organisation to discuss alternative options.
- Click or tap on contracts
- Select the contract you wish to modify
- Overview of products in the contract are displayed per day
- Choose the button ‘Extend days’ (bottom left) or ‘Stop days’ (bottom right) to start the transmission of the desired adjustment.
Extending days

Click or tap the day(s) of the week with which you wish to extend the childcare contract.
contract. Would you like to extend the contract on the basis of a new product? Then choose the blue option ‘Add products’. - Select the day(s) by the desired (possibly new) product you wish to extend the contract and select the ‘Continue’ button (at the bottom).
- Under ‘Change by’, select a date when you want the extension to take effect.
- Is it a temporary extension? Then you can enter a desired end date
(optional, not mandatory). - If more information is useful for the organisation to know, you can add an explanation
in the text field. (optional, not mandatory). - Then select the ‘Confirm’ button at the bottom.
- A pop-up message appears requiring you to confirm the modification by
clicking ‘Yes’ before it is definitively passed on to the organisation. - If you choose ‘No’, the change will not be submitted.
- You will see a confirmation page stating that the request has been properly
received and it will be processed as soon as possible.
Stopping days
- Tick the day(s) of the week you wish to stop and select button Continue' (at the bottom)
- Choose a date from the calendar on which you want the change to take effect.

Don't see this option? Then your childcare organization has chosen not to offer this feature to parents.
